Stewart Homestead Cabin Activities
Located
at 7,800 feet above sea level in Western Colorado, the Stewart
Homestead Cabin is minutes from fine lake and river fishing at
Crawford State Park or the Gunnison River, hiking in the West Elk
Wilderness, hunting in the Grand Mesa Uncompahgre and Gunnison
National Forests, cross country skiing and snowmobiling on Black
Mesa.
Stewart
Homestead Cabin is located on the Ayer Ranch, a working cattle
ranch, and a private fishing stream is available for your use. You
also are welcome to board your horse at the Ranch.
Black
Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is located less than ½ hour
from the Cabin and is one of the most breathtaking views of the
United States. Hiking and other activities are allowed in the Park,
as is camping and fishing in some areas.
ATV and
jeep trails are popular destinations and just a few minutes away, or
ride your mountain bike out the driveway of the Cabin and into some
of the most picturesque scenery in the West!
